a place to make things. to listen closely. to spend time with people who see the world a little differently.
you’ll find art in the rooms and around the table. stay a little longer for a film, a radio show or a set recorded here.
01 · around you
live with art.
works by artists we love are woven into everyday spaces at kizikula. a room, a meal, a pause on your way through: another chance to notice something.
our collection includes work by Nima Nabavi, Rami Farook, George Lilanga, Dima Srouji, Anuar Khalifi and Giulia Loli, among others. works from Rami Farook’s personal collection have also been displayed here, including Sarah Naim.

Case Design
we worked with Samuel Barclay and the award-winning Mumbai studio Case Design to imagine how it might feel to stay here. their guest houses are built of island coral limestone. the deep verandas are rooms in their own right, open to the garden and shady enough to spend the afternoon.
before there was a farm, there was coral rock. Franko and Bernadette of Permaculture Design Company built up fertile soil over it and established the farm that now supplies our kitchen.
landscape designer Andy Hamilton worked alongside the architects and the farm team on the gardens between the guest houses. you can see how closely they worked together from a veranda, where the planting comes right up to the room.
