the Indian Ocean
follow
the tide.
a swim in the sea, an afternoon by the pool. here on Zanzibar’s south coast, the water sets its own pace.
our shoreline
through the cave.
down to the sea.
kizikula sits on a coral cliff, with a reef shoreline rather than a sandy beach. reach the water through our cave or by ladder. at low tide it can be around 100 metres from shore; at high tide it comes much closer.
ask the team about tides and current conditions before swimming, and about water shoes for exploring the reef. watch for sea urchins.
if you have mobility or access requirements, speak to us before booking so we can discuss the routes with you.

sand between
your toes.
the sandy beach at Kizimkazi Dimbani is a short walk south. a fishermen’s beach lies to the north. ask us for directions and advice on the route before setting out.
